All Eleanor agency staff are carefully
selected and must have at least 6 months experience and
the relevant qualification. All our agency staff are
interviewed, inducted and checked against the Criminal
Records Bureau prior to commencing employment with us.
In addition, all our carers are checked against the PoVA
(Protection of Vulnerable Adults) & PoCA (Protection of
Children Act) lists.
Our carers reflect the diverse communities which they
serve which essentially means we are in a great position
to provide the best match for every one of our clients
in the most sensitive, non-discriminatory and
professional manner. Many of our carers are
multi-lingual.
It is the policy of Eleanor that all agency workers,
before commencement of work, undergo Induction and
Training as laid out in the National Minimum Standards
and Skill For Care.
Continuous Improvement
The Agency is committed
to providing its staff with appropriate training
courses, relevant to each individual need. The Agency
will seek to work in partnership with its clients in
providing opportunities for work-based practice.
In order to support the staff, a representative of the
management of Eleanor will meet with members
individually on an annual basis to discuss with them
their training needs, to monitor their portfolio and to
plan their developmental needs.
